I
n October, 1986, we began our operations in a suite of small
offices in Indianapolis , Indiana . As we approach the beginning
of our twentieth year of service to the bail industry, I marvel
at some of the changes we have witnessed. The overwhelming transformation
of our industry by technology is probably the most stunning.
We have witnessed the evolution of bail recordkeeping from a
ledger sheet to computer spreadsheets. We saw the rapid acceptance
of exchanging facsimile transmissions of documents only to be
dwarfed by an electronic exchange via email. An almost instantaneous
availability of documents became even faster. Software is available
to our agents over the internet which allows them the ability
to store their records offsite in a safe and disaster-proof format.
However, I intend for many of the things we have done in the
past nineteen years to remain the same. We will continue to view
our agents as our business partners. We will strive to provide
the highest level of customer service in a work environment that
is safe and rewarding to both our clients and employees. We intend
to continue to invest heavily in technology which will improve
service levels. Similarly, we will continue to reinvest in our
industry as legislative advocates, supporters of national, state
and county bail organizations and vocal proponents of the merits
of the private sector appearance bond industry.
We would welcome the opportunity to share our expertise with
you and encourage you to explore forging a mutually beneficial
relationship with us which may last the next twenty years. I
know we plan to be here at least that long if not longer.
Sincerely,
William B Carmichael
